The mission and purpose of our Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is to support and enrich educational opportunities for students at our school. The relationships within the school community, which includes students, families, and staff, are a vital influence on the success of our children’s futures. Therefore, our purpose is to foster open communication and a sense of support, pride, enthusiasm, and excellence for the educational process.
This website has been created to further serve our mission as a PTSO and add another way of communication among parents, teachers and students.

Front Office:
Please be supportive of office staff. They are school, not PTSO, employees. Their supplies are the school's, not the PTSO's.
General PTSO Meetings:
General PTSO Meetings will be held three times during the school year in the cafeteria or in the gymnasium. These meetings are open to all parents and teachers. Board members and committee chairs are expected to attend.
Budget:
Please be mindful of the PTSO's budget and please be fiscally responsible. Note that fundraising committees' budget numbers are net of expenses. Expenditures must stay within budget unless prior approval has been obtained by the Executive Board. If you think you may be on track to go over budget, please let your VP know as soon as possible.
Gifts:
The shool and the PTSO accept gifts. These gift can not incurr additional expenses to the school or the PTSO. For example, office furniture offered but without transportation expenses or computers that then require upkeep and maintence. Please discuss gifts with the school before purchasing. Understand that some gifts will not be accepted. In addition, Events that are self-financing, or programs and services that primarily benefit parents, such as a directory, speakers, family outreach programs, or PTSO administration costs, are not included in this report.
Photocopies:
School photocopiers are not available for PTSO-related photocopying use. Please also be aware of copying expenses. Color copies are discouraged due to the expense. Whenever possible, use the school web site or email to communicate. Avoid multiple attachments to the PEEK. One flier per event should be sufficient.
Publicity:
Please contact the school with any PTSO events or programs that you feel deserve attention from the media. You will need to provide all details of the event or program to the School as soon as they are available. The School will properly submit the information to the papers for coverage consideration. If you have photos from events, the School would like them as well. We'll also use them on the PTSO website.
Email:
Communication to parents through Class Parent email lists requires Co President approval and should be used discriminately. Email is a very effective means of communication but in order to keep it that way, we need to be mindful of not abusing it.
